Joseth Francois Launches New Series “1 Date in 50 States”
In today’s world, the internet continues to lead as the hub of information and entertainment. One of the most popular ways of getting a plethora of these is through content creators on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Joseth Francois, film producer and CEO of Sertified Casting, is a veteran content creator determined to grow the industry further. Francois recently launched a new series, “1 Date in 50 States,” which involves a cast of content creators as they travel to every state in America on a date sponsored by the Sweet Pea dating app.
“Late last year, my friends and I decided to go on a road trip that started with a heartbreak and spiraled into a CRAZYYY road trip!” Francois shared on Instagram a few months ago. The group traveled to Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Idaho, doing crazy activities like jet skiing to skydiving in each state. Francois and his friends explored several unique spots on every visit, an experience he’s eager to share with the world. Over the past few months, Francois has given himself to documenting these past experiences; as proof of this, he released his latest production, “1 Date in 50 States,” which he regards as his first self-produced series. The series is available on Sertified Media’s YouTube channel, a platform dedicated to changing the gameplay of the content creation industry.
“I’m an advocate for fairness in the creator space and will continue to strive to create more opportunities for those who have been overlooked or mistreated,” says Francois. As an African-American content creator, Francois continues to explore the industry in various capacities, and he has had his fair share of challenges. Having worked with one of the biggest global social media groups, Francois, in hindsight, performed in skits that misrepresented his community. After the pandemic struck, he realized that he had unwittingly perpetuated a stereotypical representation of people of color in the media.
This realization was a much-needed tipping point that ushered Francois into the next phase of his life. Since launching Sertified Casting, Francois endeavors to support minority creators by paying them for opportunities with his company and even offering free advice and services. Francois’s mission is to help other content creators realize their full potential; he also sets out to leave a roadmap for young adults to follow to create a better future in this space. In his work and collaborations, Francois draws attention to crucial social issues often overlooked or otherwise not discussed enough in society, such as racial inequality and discrimination.
Francois and his team at Sertified Casting are transcending from working with social media influencers and are now working with a diverse group of people, from musicians, models, and even NFT companies. Sertified Casting is active across Atlanta, Florida, New York, etc., and has recently worked on a film that they cast extras for.
Francois and the ensemble of the cast are giving new up-and-coming creators an opportunity to appear in higher quality, long form content. The ensemble cast of his new series is also a testament to his dedication to being a positive force in the current state of American culture and the socio-political climate palpable in every corner of society. One way of getting involved with the series is by downloading the Sweetpea app, and when you use the app, you can be pulled into the show. Francois says diversity will remain a key theme as the “1 Date in 50 States” shows tremendous progressiveness, uniting influencers and content creators with a common goal: love.
