World Health Organization (WHO) statistics show that approximately 2.5 million adults die every year due to complications associated with obesity. The leading obesity-related diseases include heart diseases and a significant percentage of cancers. Obesity is an accumulation of unusual and excessive body fat, subjecting an individual to increased health disorders. Genetics, environment, medication, health conditions, stress, emotional factors, and poor sleeping habits are the leading causes of obesity.

Obesity can result in health-threatening diseases like type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, and psychological issues, e.g., low self-esteem and depression. However, there are various ways to treat and fight diabetes, i.e., healthy eating, regular physical exercise, guidance from a health professional, medication, and weight loss surgery if necessary.

Ben Azadi lived with obesity for 24 years. It was a harrowing journey, leaving him depressed and suicidal. His obesity was hereditary, as his dad also suffered from it. His dad later succumbed to complications from type 2 diabetes. The pain that came with his dad’s death was an eye-opener for Ben, bringing him from rock bottom to living a purposeful life.

Ben went through a personal health transformation where he shredded 80 pounds of pure fat in 2008. He couldn’t be happier to be obesity free and decided to give back to society. Ben pursued a course in functional diagnostic nutrition to help people struggling with obesity. Ben, a renowned and certified functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner, has been on a mission to help 1 billion people live healthier lives. Besides this, he is the author of four best-selling books, Keto Flex, The Perfect Health Booklet, The Intermittent Fasting Cheat Sheet, and The Power of Sleep. He is also an expert in intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet.

Living obesity-free for a decade, Ben founded a non-profit organization called Keto Kamp to educate and inspire 1 billion people to help them take charge of their health and build healthy metabolisms to stop surviving and start thriving. Keto Kamp is based in Miami Beach, FL, USA, but operates globally virtually. They will help 1 billion people with insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, autoimmune disease, brain fog, leaky gut, and other metabolic disorders move from a life of fear, overwhelm, and defeat by educating, empowering, and instilling confidence in them.

“We don’t believe in hyped-up claims, weight loss gimmicks, irresponsible business practices, or unethical guarantees (i.e., lose 30 pounds in 30 days). Instead, we believe in science and simplicity… a sensible, evidence-based approach that helps people make actionable progress toward improving their health and their cell metabolism. We also don’t believe improving your health should be boring and daunting… we bring fun and excitement to a group of people consumed with fear and worry. We’re a source of hope and a guiding light to better health and active futures filled with friends, family, adventures, and enjoyment,” Ben affirms.

Ben also launched Keto Kamp Academy, a program that offers training to anyone who wishes to be a pro in keto and intermittent fasting. Ben Azadi envisions having at least 1,000 members enrolled in his online Keto Kamp Academy program. He also wants to see his brand soon become the biggest name in the health space globally.
